The plain-English version of what's below — read these bullets first, then the formal text only if you want the details:

• Use Tend lawfully and within Apple's platform rules.
• You decide which permissions to grant; the features that depend on them are off until you do.
• Don't reverse-engineer, abuse, or try to break the sync process.
• Tend is local-first and provided "as is" — its suggestions are inputs to your judgment, not a replacement for it.
• If we change these terms, continuing to use Tend after the change means you accept the new version.

Use of the app

• Use Tend only in compliance with applicable law and Apple platform policies.
• You are responsible for enabling the permissions required for the features you choose to use.
• Do not attempt to reverse engineer, abuse, or interfere with the app or its sync process.

Third-party services

Tend is local-first: your message text never leaves your Mac, and relationship notes are generated on-device. Tend does use a small set of processors — Sign in with Apple and Supabase Auth for your account, Supabase for beta records, survey responses, and help-center feedback, PostHog for consent-gated product analytics, and Intercom for support. Those systems receive a server-generated opaque identifier, never your message text, contact graph, or raw conversation data. Warranty and liability

Tend is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind to the extent allowed by law. Relationship suggestions are informational only and are not a substitute for your own judgment.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised terms.
